Magic Easter Egg Craft
Magic Easter Egg Craft
Here is a craft that can be done for lots of different holidays or seasons. We did yours for Easter!
Materials:
White paper
Black sharpie
White crayon
Water color paints
First the adult draws an egg shape on the paper with a sharpie. It’s important it’s a permanent marker so that it doesn’t bleed when it gets painted over. Next draw patterns, shapes, designs, etc in the egg with white crayon. It’s ok that you can’t see them that’s where the magic comes in!
Now the fun part! Have your kids paint the egg with water color paints. The crayon resists the water colors so your patterns magically show up when painted over!!! It not only creates a beautiful artwork but it also it exciting to find the patterns and designs.
****SUPER MOM HACK****
Give a kid paint that includes brown or black and all of a sudden everything is brown and black. If this isn’t your goal for the project just simply remove those pods of paint from your watercolor pack. They pop right out! We can also replace any colors that get used often and run out before the others. Company’s like crayons sell just the pods!
